Hycamite beteiligt sich an Initiative zur Förderung von Wasserstoff- und Kohlenstofflösungen in der Stahlproduktion
Hycamite, ein Hersteller von emissionsfreiem Wasserstoff und hochwertigen Kohlenstoffprodukten, beteiligt sich an einem Folgeforschungsprojekt mit einem Volumen von 17 Millionen Euro, das auf die Transformation der Stahlindustrie abzielt. Das neue Forschungsprojekt Future Sustainable Electric Steel Mill (FutSteel) wird von der Universität Oulu (University of Oulu) und SSAB geleitet und zielt darauf ab, die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette der Stahlproduktion durch die Kombination von Elektroofentechnologie (Electric Arc Furnace, EAF) und modernisierten Warmwalzprozessen weiterzuentwickeln.

Päästöttömän vedyn ja korkealaatuisten hiilituotteiden tuottaja Hycamite on lähtenyt mukaan terästeollisuutta uudistavaan 17 miljoonan euron jatkotutkimushankkeeseen. Uudessa Future Sustainable Electric Steel Mill (FutSteel) -tutkimushankkeessa kehitetään edelleen Oulun yliopiston ja SSAB:n johdolla koko teräksenvalmistusketjua, jossa sähköön perustuva valokaariteknologia yhdistetään modernisoituihin kuumavalssausprosesseihin.
Hycamite Joins Initiative to Advance Hydrogen and Carbon Use in Steel Production
Hycamite, a producer of emission-free hydrogen and high-quality carbon materials, has joined a €17 million follow-on research project aimed at transforming the steel industry. The new Future Sustainable Electric Steel Mill (FutSteel) project, led by the University of Oulu and SSAB will develop the entire steel production chain, combining electricity-based electric arc furnace technology with modernised hot rolling processes.
