Our Customer Sample Facility (CSF), built in Kokkola, Finland, is Europe’s largest methane-splitting plant
Once fully operational, the plant will produce 2,000 tons of low-carbon hydrogen and 6,000 tons of high-value carbon annually. The CSF’s annual decarbonization capacity is up to 18,000 tons of CO2.

Our journey started in 2018 on a dark and rainy evening in Berlin when Matti Malkamäki attended Germany’s Natural Gas Association’s annual meeting. There, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) won an award for their methane pyrolysis study. Intrigued, Matti downloaded a few articles for future reading.
