Hycamite Customer Sample Facility (CSF)

CSF will be the largest methane-splitting plant in Europe. It is intended to demonstrate the viability of the new methane-splitting technology for clean hydrogen and industrial-quality solid carbon production.

Ultimately, CSF will offer continuous control and support for the global network of process modules 24/7. It will also serve as a site for module development and a testing center for specific reactor types and new catalysts. CSF will utilize LNG from Norway and biomethane from Finland.

CSF is being built in the Kokkola Industrial Park (KIP) area near the Hycamite headquarters and the pilot plant. KIP is northern Europe’s largest ecosystem of inorganic chemical industry, where several companies leading in the chemical and metal processing industries operate.
