In Finland, several projects have spotted the Gulf of Bothnia as a potential hydrogen valley. In the region, there are great resources for sustainable hydrogen production, industry needing hydrogen for decarbonization, technological know-how and excellent infrastructure.
The new umbrella brand and collaboration platform for the hydrogen-related initiatives around the Gulf of Bothnia is called BotH2nia. It will be used for facilitating communication between projects and promote the hydrogen-related technology and production of the area.
The new brand aims to match alternatives elsewhere in Europe. That is why the new initiative is right away becoming international including Sweden and other countries around the Baltic Sea.
