By 2030, industry will need twice as much hydrogen as can be produced with current electrolysis methods. Moreover, these large volumes must be produced using less energy and without emissions. This is why Hycamite was founded. Hycamite’s innovation can produce large volumes of hydrogen with zero emissions and affordable prices.
Based on years of research at the University of Oulu, Finland, Hycamite developed a disruptive and IP-protected process, which turns biogas or methane into large volumes of hydrogen—using only 13% of the energy required for electrolysis and with zero emissions.
In addition to hydrogen, Hycamite also produces solid carbon products cleanly and sustainably. Most of these products are currently imported from Asia; Hycamite produces solid carbon in Europe. Hycamite is a privately-owned company headquartered in Kokkola, Finland.
