ECH2A CEO roundtables started with Hydrogenius

European Clean Hydrogen Alliance ECH2A has launched its CEO roundtable with Hydrogenius.

Hydrogenius CEO Laura Rahikka discussed with other CEO’s of leading European hydrogen technology companies about hydrogen production projects in the first meeting of the ECH2A Roundtable on Clean and Renewable Hydrogen Production in March.
In the discussion, joined by Kadri Simmons, European Commissioner for Energy, the CEO stressed the importance of technology neutral regulation. All methods of producing hydrogen should be treated equally, if there is no difference in CO2 emissions.
The CEOs had a common understanding that even though the challenges are big and a lot of work needs to be done, such an extensive network of cooperation and the expertise of companies will certainly lead to a good result.
The six roundtables are thematic working groups responsible for the ECH2A’s operational work.
The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance has been established by the European Commission to support the development of a clean and globally competitive hydrogen industry in Europe. The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance aims at an ambitious deployment of hydrogen technologies by 2030, bringing together renewable and low-carbon hydrogen production, demand in industry, mobility and other sectors, and hydrogen transmission and distribution. With the alliance, the EU wants to build its global leadership in this domain, to support the EU’s commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
